Responsibilities
  • Maintains close working relationships with managers to ensure that employment and staffing activities fully support and are aligned with departmental goals/requirements and are consistent with the firm’s diversity commitment as an equal opportunity employer.
  • Develops sourcing strategy and builds/maintains relationships with external sources of potential employees so that there are proven high quality employment channels from which the firm can choose to recruit to meet its employment and employer branding objectives. Manages the recruitment process. Facilitates on-boarding of newly hired employees for effective integration into department and firm activities.
  • Manages employee relations programs including the development and implementation of firm-wide human resource policies and practices. Proactively works with managers to identify opportunities for improving employee relations activities that are complimentary with business priorities.
  • Provides internal human resource consulting to departments to facilitate change management/conflict resolution methodologies and works with managers to determine departmental human resource plans consistent with the department/firm’s business objectives.
  • Mentor and coach managers on managerial effectiveness skills.
  • Participates in other projects as requested by management

    Job Requirements

  • Minimum of ten to fifteen years of HR experience, including: employee relations, staffing/placement, training and development
  • Human Resource experience in Professional Services/Consulting firm(s) required
  • Experience managing a University Relations program desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required. MBA preferred
  • Series 7 and SPHR certification desired
  • Ability to manage and be responsive to multiple customers / projects / issues concurrently
  • Results-oriented individual who thrives on challenge, growth and change in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and proven team player
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and provide internal consulting to a wide range of customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
