Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Workforce Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The incumbent analyzes and researches data in order to understand relevant trends, correlations, and cause/effect relationships. The incumbent works cross-functionally within HR and across other departments to frame complex problems, apply creative analytics, and formulate practical solutions.

This Workforce Analyst role will have a concentration on Labor Relations needs and will work closely with the head of Labor and Employee Relations and his team.

The person in this role assists Dignity Health's bargaining teams and will help assist the impact of contract related items in real time


SPECIFICATIONS:

Experience:

1-3 years of HR, Finance or business strategy analysis experience.

5 years analysis experience across multiple business disciplines (HR, Finance, Operations, Strategy) preferred.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent as obtained through HR, Data Scientist,Finance or Business Strategy experience.

Master's Degree or equivalent experience in statistics, economics, finances or similar preferred.


Training:

Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) preferred.


Special Skills:

Excel Expert (vlookups, pivot tables, statistical functions)

Familiarity with Access and/or relational database concepts

Experience utilizing business intelligence tools to produce analytics

Familiarity and comfort with non-HR data, including finance and clinical functions

Understanding of financial foundations necessary to develop business case and ROI models

Experience using some type of statistical or forecasting software such as SAS preferred.

Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting tools such as OBIEE, Cognos, SSRS preferred.


Licensure:

PHR/SPHR is highly valued but not essential preferred.
