In this role, you will: 

GENERAL FUNCTION:  supervises QA activities, audtitors, processes in the melt side of the foundry operation.

TYPICAL DUTIES: (not a comprehensive list)

supervises dept.personnel

reviews shift reports and melt logs

reviews audit sheets

reviews spectro calibrations and analyses done by QA

tool box talks (safety) with dept. (also in cooperation with other depts)

reviews time edits

maintains rotating schedule for auditors

determines training needs / conducts training on documentation and work instructons

be available for dept personnel and work different shifts as needed

Job Requirements

Understanding of foundries and processes within the foundry (specifically melt and mold depts.)

good communication skills (verbal and written)

understands the importance of accuracy

Required Experience

at least 2 years experience in a supervisory role

Previous experience in foundry environment a HUGE PLUS (specifically molding, melting, core making operations)
