We are seeking a Sales Operations Manager for our office in Kansas City, Missouri.  The Sales Operations Manager’s role is to program manage key functions of the sales process.  Major responsibilities of this position include project managing the pre and post sales processes, overseeing integration of new business to operations and developing/refining a sales compensation and incentive plan model.*CB
The Sales Operations Manager Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assure new business operates in accordance with customers’ expectations
  • Assist Chief Marketing Officer, Vice President of Health Plan Sales and Director of Business Development with finalizing major sales
  • Coordinate pre and post sales activities including but not limited to contract negotiation, client requests/requirements, hand off to implementation, communication with client and internal communications
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop and refine a comprehensive sales compensation structure
  • Collaborate with sales to develop annual sales quotas
  • Work with sales management to create incentive plans designed to exceed sales goals
  • Develop strategies, policies, procedures and project plans to achieve business goals
  • Prepare presentations as required (excellent PowerPoint and Word skills)
  • Present to small and large groups with varying audiences
  • Assist communications department in proposal development process
  • Use project management techniques and processes to achieve effective and timely results, including project plans, cost estimates; and tracking monitoring, and communicating progress against plans
  • Follow up and communicate status of projects to sales team
  • Works with all levels of the organization, including Sr. Leadership Team
  • High level of visibility to customers
  • Demonstrates consistency in professional demeanor in response to all situations regardless of the nature or circumstances of the situation
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-pace, changing environment
  • Assumes other duties consistent with position and as directed by the CMO

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other relevant academic discipline
  • Seven or more years of experience providing the types and levels of knowledge, skills and abilities required by the job
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent teambuilding skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Comfortable presenting to senior executives
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Willingness to travel
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in developing sales compensation plans


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Behavioral health or Healthcare experience
  • Master’s degree
