As an Application Development Manager, you are a member of PNC's Corporate and Institutional Banking organization, specifically Corporate On-Line Banking. The Application Development Manager provides leadership, staff management and is accountable for systems development and maintenance for Corporate and Institutional Banking products, specifically PINACLE ACH and Funds Transfer. Manages activities of all personnel for both large and small projects. Provides technology leadership to lines of business partners and technology personnel. Activities include but are not limited to analyzing requests for services and development of technology recommendations. Oversees and executes all aspects of technology project administration within area of responsibility including project planning and management. Makes decisions on personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.). Provides management leadership and career development for a team of technology professionals. Manages technology expenses associated with area of responsibility.
You will manage a geographic team; with members located in PA and India. In addition, you will manage both internally developed applications as well as vendor supplied product. Vendor management skills is critical to your success.
Your hours are standard business hours, with required overtime in support of maintaining project schedules and weekend product upgrade validation. The PINACLE working environment is fast paced, it includes multiple and adjusting priorities, and has time sensitive delivery/commitments. You must have strong negotiating skills and the ability to be flexible while maintaining, enabling and enforcement to best practices. The position requires heavy communication and interaction with; the direct team, vendors, and cross functional teams with other MIS Teams, IT Teams and Lines of Businesses. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Application Management and Development experience, specific to;
- Web based / Java based applications
- Payment processing experience: ACH, Wire, Check
- Processing highly available, multi-sited and highly secure application architecture
- Strong leadership skills with a vision/passion for quality product delivery and the ability to drive/inspire change
- 7+ years technical experience with 3-4+ years of previous management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience
