As the Manager of the Internal Planning Department, you are a member of PNC's Financial Planning Department under PNC Investments. You will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
The Financial Planning Department is responsible for financial analysis production and for providing financial planning recommendations resultant from those analyses. They directly contribute to client acquisition or retention by analyzing their needs, and helping develop solutions through wealth planning. The Department enhances revenue generation and client satisfaction by serving as a resource on financial planning issues and other administrative matters for clients and for the Advisor team. The Department acts as a technical and consulting resource when called on to support the planning process through the SFC as may be required or assigned. Their results may be demonstrated by number of planning engagements completed or quality
Your responsibilities include provide supervision to the Internal Financial Planning staff and maintain the integrity of the financial planning experience for all clients. Complete complex analysis support for prospects and client relationships to support PNCI Senior Financial Consultants (SFC), Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and Territory Sales Directors (TSD). Reports on SFC SunGard planning activities and provides initial and ongoing training.
Provide supervision, training and guidance to the Internal Financial Planning Staff.
Develop policy and procedural guidelines and perform initial and on-going trainingEnsure quality, productivity and timeliness delivery of SunGard financial planning reports for SFCs and their clients.
Review financial plans completed by the Internal Financial Planning staff and those complex plans submitted by the SFC. Check for essential elements to assure accuracy and consistency of reports. Make recommendations using financial planning techniques to expand existing revenue and improve client satisfaction. Contribute to the design and development of financial planning related products and services.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications :
Strong preference for Bachelors Degree in Business, or related field.
NASD Series 6, 7, 63, 65 or 66 considered beneficial. State Life and Health licenses considered beneficial. Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified Para-Planner or similar certification a plus.
Minimum five years experience in financial planning data entry or financial planning applications. Minimum three years of supervisory experience. Documented success with financial planning software, organizational ability and technology skills. Ability and eagerness to work with planning tools/process
