Job Description

Develops and implements marketing and strategic plan that promotes a pro donation culture with the goal of increasing donations with targeted hospitals within service area. Effectively interacts with key hospital personnel, and Coroner/Medical Examiner staff to develop profiles and maximize donation potential that will include the flow of the decision making process as it affects donation. Will develop and maintain relationships with relevant agencies, create and implement donation education, conduct data analysis and marketing initiatives to promote the donation. Identify and interface with hospital law enforcement decision-makers as it relates to donation related activities. Implement various educational activities in service area to maximize potential donors through education in best practices for donation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing plans for target hospitals based on market research. Evaluate activities against monthly hospital specific plan and revise as necessary. Identify and solve problems related to the provision of service within the hospitals served.

Conduct market research to determine plans for targeted hospitals. Develop hospital profiles, prepare, distribute, and analyze surveys, meet with key individuals, conduct medical records review, and analyze donor and referral patterns. Document and communicate findings to leadership and hospital contacts. Develop plans to improve donation performance with in service area.

Perform routine medical records review to define hospital donation potential. Participate in internal clinical case reviews from donation activity.

Address referral and donation process issues in a timely manner and collaboratively solve problems with hospital liaisons to develop appropriate solutions.  

Provide referral and donor follow up to hospitals in service area. Conduct donation referral follow up and post recovery review with hospitals following donor activity. Assist hospitals with policy and procedure and educational development according to specific hospital needs. Provide feedback to clinical staff regarding after action review and overall process within hospitals.

Work with community relations group to facilitate public awareness regarding donation within assigned territory.


Maintain accurate documentation of all hospital development activities in a timely manner. Design and implement customer satisfaction measures. Maintain database a key contact information and interactions per facility. 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Two years marketing experience preferably within the medical or donation industry and/or related experience required. Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
