Systems Analysis, Operations Research Engineer

Job Description

Northrop Grumman is looking for an Engineer 1 through 3 with hands-on System Analysis, Operations Research Engineer with experience working in support of system analysis, operations analysis, and simulation activities to include military requirements analysis, threat system analysis, system survivability analysis, mission performance/effectiveness analysis, force level effectiveness analysis, and military utility. We are looking for candidates capable of adapting existing models, methods, and simulations to conduct studies to support the design, development, and assessment of advanced system design concepts and technologies. Candidate should have a strong physics background to develop physics and/or Mathematical models and algorithms, strong problem-solving skills, be a highly motivated self-starter with an ability to work with a team or independently to translate informal system requirements and design elements into engineering models to be used for various analyses in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment with limited management/technical oversight. An understanding of RADAR modeling principles and other related Electronic Warfare effects is desired.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
A BS degree in an Engineering Discipline, Physics, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Computer Science with 1 to 5 years of related experience is required, as well as a high level of proficiency in MATLAB, FORTRAN, C# or C/C++. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Requires US citizenship and current, active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to be cleared to a special access program.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Top Secret clearance and MS degree. Scripting language experience in Awk, Perl, or Python is desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications in Access and Project is desired.
