As an Engineer with The Manitowoc Company you will be involved in redesign, product improvements, test, analysis, production liaison and service liaison utilizing a variety of engineering disciplines.  This position is expected provide project leadership, reporting and independent support to internal and external customer.

The position reports directly to the Sr. Engineering Manager, located in Cleveland, Ohio.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• PCTO- Will be responsible for discovering product cost reduction opportunities or implementing product cost reduction opportunities which come from other departments 
• Production support-will support BOM or component issues which come up on production floor, provide technical guidance and resolution to maintain product integrity and Lean work flow 
• COPQ- goal is to reduce or eliminate all cost of poor quality.  Will engage in production reviews and field issues review to identify COPQ issues and resolve them 
• Field Problems/customer issues/customer driven improvements (not equipment failures). Will investigate, develop RCA, develop solutions and implement the solution into production and field.  Goal is 100% customer satisfaction in a swift, timely manner. 

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ experience from a manufacturing environment required.

• Experience with ProE, Inventor or SolidWorks CAD software is required.

• Experience in thermal dynamics and sheet metal design are preferred. 

• Must be skilled in MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Power Point.

• Strong written and verbal skills to be able to communicate effectively with all personnel or in the board room or outside of the company as a representative of Manitowoc.   

• This position requires the employee to move about the plant through the manufacturing process on a frequent basis. There may be additional hours expected in critical situations.

• Travel up to 10% required.
