The Relationship Manager I (RM I) position is a client-facing position within the Real Estate Banking line of business. The RM I is responsible for performing credit analysis as well as assisting senior RMs in the development of markets, research and analyses of sales opportunities and management of the existing portfolio. The successful candidate will be one that has a demonstrated ability to grow one day into independently managing their own portfolio. The primary responsibilities of the RM I include:
With respect to the existing portfolio; prepare regular periodic reviews, perform on-going analysis of sponsor financial capacity, monitor project performance, and track and report covenant compliance. Service assigned clients through regular calling efforts and keep senior executives informed.
Assist senior RM's with marketing to assigned clients and prospects. In this role the RM I will participate in the credit evaluation and structuring for new deals. With senior guidance, prepare memos and presentations to senior management. Interface with the rest of the client team including credit officers and internal sources for selling credit and non-credit products. The RM I will learn to function as key advisor and identify cross-sell opportunities.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Up to 3 years of Real Estate related experience
- Basic knowledge of marketing, credit practices, product solutions, relationship management, risk assessment
- Strong team player
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Possess proficient interpersonal communication, writing and group presentation skills
