Brief Description
The Campaign Strategist is accountable for every aspect of a defined integrated campaign across the campaign lifecycle, including planning and scheduling, content, execution, lead management and reporting.   By closely working with Events, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, Influencer Relations, Partner Marketing, and Product Marketing, the Campaign Strategist, will lead the creation of an integrated marketing strategy that includes identifying targets, value propositions, and tactics to drive growth through integrated, localized and data-driven industry marketing strategies aligned to targeted sales objectives. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert for a designated campaign to evaluate overall performance, including business progress, program adoption, and pipeline impact, in order to optimize the campaign.

Position Description:
  • Strategic Campaign Planning:  Build, in conjunction with broader Marketing team, clear value propositions, messaging and contact strategy including calls to action to drive results.  Ensures the campaign objectives are appropriately aligned with business priorities, timelines, customer contact strategies across marketing channels, and expected business results, including financial and customer pipeline growth goals.  The individual will set targets for tactics and provide consistent insight into campaign performance against defined objectives
  • Define Campaign Targets:  Understand and define the target audience and its preferences, needs, and challenges. Identify appropriate mix of assets and activities required to engage target audience, generate leads, and grow, accelerate, and close pipeline
  • Content and Messaging:  Coordination of messaging and supporting assets that maximize pipeline, revenue and awareness for designated campaign focus area. Content development and execution will support assets and activities such as online programs, webcasts, call campaigns, and events that map to appropriate target audience and customer buying cycle stage
  • Ongoing Campaign Management and Execution:  Ensure execution and managing to specific pipeline generation targets for designated campaign.  Manages lead generation/nurturing campaigns by determining the most effective points of interaction to target appropriate audience and meet defined metrics.  Campaigns include cross channel activities that engage and nurture customers across the customer buying cycle- from awareness through pipeline close ensuring the right assets and activities are implemented to support each phase accordingly. Adjusts within the campaign flow as needed to optimize pipeline contribution.  Initiates programs to re-engage interested customers through multi-touch activities such as tale-marketing and email marketing, automated online trigger responses, direct mail and online resource centers with the purpose of accelerating customers across the buying cycle
  • Lead Management and Reporting:  Regular review and analysis of MQLs to make sure activities are driving leads with the most potential anddevelop and implement action plans to address gaps

Job Requirements

Oracle Marketing Campaign Strategist Manager/Senior Manager North America Marketing

  • Minimum 7-10 years marketing experience with at least 2 years in Software/Technology marketing; Campaigns, Field, or channel marketing background helpful.
  • Specific experience in Higher Education preferred
  • Experience managing teams
  • Must have solid understanding of market segmentation; strategy, planning and execution of marketing activities, both online and physical
  • Ability to rapidly learn, internalize and leverage product/campaign information is essential
  • Very strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to prepare presentations and be comfortable speaking to groups; must be comfortable dealing with sales/executive management; must be able to massage content to suite specific and targeting programs, customers, and industries
  • Must be familiar with or able to quickly learn a variety of business application systems, including but not limited to: CRM Tools, Eloqua, etc.
  • Role will be based in North America and requires close coordination with virtual team
  • Manager level position; reports to Director of North America Field Marketing

Expected Travel: 15% travel within the United States and Canada
