Cardiac Interventional Technologist

Job Description

Job Summary: 
The Cardiac Interventional Technologist assists the physician on the sterile field during procedure and circulates within the procedure room.  The Technologist in conjunction with the Clinical Manager, maintains protocols and procedures to meet Federal, State and local requirements. The Technologist maintains a high degree of accuracy and awareness of all radiation and patient safety issues involved with any invasive procedure.   The Technologist demonstrates a thorough understanding and working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, interventional supplies, and equipment.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate of JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology
Experience:

  • Prefer two years recent experience as Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist.
License/Certification:

  • Registered with ARRT in the State of Kentucky
  • KY Radiation Operators certification.
  • CPR required.
  • Requires RCIS registry with three (3) years
  • Requires ACLS registry with two (2) years of employment.
