Job Description

Our Lady of Peace (OLOP) is a private, not-for-profit psychiatric hospital in Louisville, KY. The hospital was originally founded in 1951 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. With 396 beds, Peace is one of the one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in the nation. The Children’s Peace Center at Our Lady of Peace is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of child/adolescent inpatient psychiatric care in the country.  Our Lady of Peace operates a full continuum of services for patients from young children to seniors, with a special emphasis on psychiatric care for children and adolescents, including several special needs programs.  Patients come to Peace from all over Kentucky and the surrounding region, including eleven other states.  Visit www.ourladyofpeacepsychiatry.org.


This role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and implementing the structured therapeutic program activities for individuals and groups of patients of an assigned patient care unit for a specific shift.  The role may provide care to various patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Job Requirements

Masters degree in counseling psychology, psychology or other closely related behavioral health degree preferred. Bachelors degree in counseling psychology, psychology or other closely related behavioral health degree with 1 ½ to 2 years clinical experience specific to unit, program and field in which would be working required. Able to perform CPR techniques. Able to complete Safe Crisis Management training and perform safe crisis management techniques.
If employee works on one of the following departments, Nursing Services, 2 South, 2 East, 3 North and 3 East: Travel may be required using own transportation
