Technical Sales Representative - RVI & ANI N.Cal

Job Description

 Job Summary:: Olympus Scientific Solutions an industry leader in Non-Destructive Testing equipment is looking for a highly motivated, full-time Sales Representative to join our team in the Northern California area. Our Sales Representative are responsible for marketing and selling our Portable XRF, Inline XRF and Industrial Remote Visual (RVI)  products to a variety of industries including; Aerospace, Scrap Metal, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Product Testing, Environmental Testing, and Mining.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Meeting the sales target for your territory on all products.

  • Visiting customers on a daily basis in the assigned territory.
  • Completing, working, reviewing, and improving your Sales Plan that includes an action plan for increasing sales to active customers and prospective customers, scheduling full coverage of your territory, maintaining a high level of in-field time, and continually improving your product presentation skills and product knowledge.
  • Responding to all customer phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Generating leads for the other Olympus Scientific Solutions sales representatives.
  • Maintaining a continued emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Using CRM package for completing daily tasks and management reporting.
  • Timely completion of all periodic sales reports, quotations, sales forecasting and opportunity management.
  • Following up on all leads.
  • Working closely with others at Olympus Scientific Solutions to coordinate the overall selling efforts of the company.

Job Requirements


  • Willingness to operate as part of a regional sales team.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and database entry.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the sales team.


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • 3 years of field sales experience required
  • A science/chemistry background is a plus.
  • Experience selling or operating RVI and/or XRF equipment is a plus.
