Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Tampa Transportation Roadway staff as a
Sr. Roadway Design Engineer. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and receive direction from top technical professionals in the Transportation Engineering field. As a seasoned Roadway Design Engineer you will apply your expertise to all conventional aspects of functional area and applies advanced concepts and techniques to unconventional engineering problems. You will carry out complex or novel assignments requiring diversified knowledge of Roadway engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments. This work requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices. You are asked to uphold the engineering ethics and standards of conduct. You must be familiar with the AASHTO Standards and FDOT Standards and Plans Preparation manual.
