Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Administrative and operational server support, project support; incident, change, configuration and problem management
  • Implementation & resolution, operating system security management, installation, configuration, upgrade of Microsoft Windows, and Linux based servers
  • Function as a member of the ECSN Windows Team responsible for the remote management, problem resolution, configuration and security of 3500+ enterprise Windows servers throughout the country
  • Provide touch labor and general server IT support at the NGES BWI facility and surrounding area

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of related experience in addition to the minimum years listed below.
• 5 years of Windows Server Administration experience
• 5 years of Windows Operating System experience
• Demonstrated Knowledge of HP/IBM/Dell server hardware, Service Management Tools
• Some experience with one or more, Windows scripting solutions, Windows security and AV tools and products, enterprise backup solutions such as TSM, NetBackup, Networker, enterprise Systems Management products, ESX / VMware virtualization products
• Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft Windows servers in a medium to large Active Directory infrastructure
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, non-business hours as required to provide support
• Position requires a current Secret Clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

• ITIL experience, SAN storage technologies, Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop, advanced VMware experience / knowledge
• Windows Server 2012 Experience
• Advanced Microsoft Windows security knowledge
• Microsoft Certifications such as MCSE or MCSA
• Microsoft Cluster Services experience
• IBM TSM, VMware, Citrix, EMC, ITIL Foundations Certifications highly desirable
