We are seeking an Environmental-Remediation Engineer to join our team in Reno, who will also work closely with northern California offices and other locations.
Kleinfelder’s Sacramento, CA office is looking for a project or senior level Environmental-Remediation Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in groundwater and soil remediation.
This position will also work closely with our Northern California offices and other locations. This is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the industry’s best, tackling technical challenges on a variety of projects and in various locations, including contaminant investigation and working with public and private clients and regulatory agencies.
Prepares designs, reports and calculations on complex remediation projects. Designs remediation pilot studies and full-scale remediation efforts, performs data evaluation and report preparation. Oversees installation, operation and maintenance of remediation systems. Scopes and conducts/supervises field exploration, sampling programs, inspection, analysis and technical support. Provides training and supervision for entry level technicians and staff professionals as needed.
Education and certifications:
- Proven experience in environmental remediation, with technical responsibilities in investigations, remedial design and construction in a consulting engineering firm or related required
- Minimum 10 years of related experience required
- Strong communication and writing skills are required.
- Experience with field operations and remediation system operation and maintenance are desired.
- Project management experience is a plus.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or similar field is required, and an advanced degree is a plus. Nevada Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license also a plus.
