RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR (DSP)
Clearbrook

Clearbrook, dedicated to providing services to children and adults with intellectual/ developmental disabilities, is currently seeking  full and part time Residential Counselors to work with adults in community residential group homes. In this role you will provide support and supervision to a group of clients living in a community integrated setting. Prior experience is encouraged. A variety of shifts and locations are available as we continue to grow and expand our programs.

Job Requirements

Residential Counselor Qualifications : 

  • High school diploma/ GED required; some college preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old   
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and good driving record required
  • Previous experience working with individuals with  disabilities preferred but not required 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Availability to attend 120 hours of PAID training including approximately two weeks of classroom training M-F, 9-5 in Arlington Heights, IL. At the completion of the training, you will receive DSP (Direct Support Professional) certification.
