Job is located in Fort Worth, TX.

A brand new Surgical Hospital in the Fort Worth area is looking to add a Director of Inpatient Services to their leadership team. Be apart of one of the fastest growing healthcare companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This state of the art facility prides itself on its modern look and feel that will amaze anyone who passes through their doors.

The Director of Inpatient Services will report to the CNO. The Director of Inpatient Services will be responsible for the hospitals inpatient services and will include the ICU, ER and Post Surgical Unit. With it being a Surgical Hospital, the ER and ICU doesn't see that many patients, maybe 2 per day. The focus for this position will be on the inpatient post surgical care. An inpatient case usually stays for 26-48 hours.

The Director of Inpatient Service swill be responsible for 35-40 FTEs. There is a House Supervisor and 3 charges that report to the Director. They are looking for an experience leader and director that can handle the different units. 

Director of Inpatient Services:
-Directs the care of the patient through the continuum of care as related to their area.
-Provides direction to all staff on age-specific care, and is able to move in to a direct patient care when needed to ensure competent and effective staffing.
-Coordinates activities with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a safe and positive environment for patients and families.
-Promotes the hospital's mission and vision by assisting in the creation of an environment of teamwork and excellence in meeting the healthcare needs of the community.

Job Requirements

Director of Inpatient Services Requirements:

•Graduate of an accredited school professional nursing
•BSN and/or Masters preferred

Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years prior experience as an RN in a hospital/surgery center
• Previous Management experience
• Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrate emotional maturity and ability to function effectively when under stress
• Organizational and prioritizing skills are essential

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
• Current certification in BLS/ACLS and
• PALS within 90 days of hire
• Must complete/maintain required annual competencies per hospital policy.
