Job Description

A company located in the Denver area is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team.  The Senior Corporate Accountant will assist in preparing the monthly consolidated financial statements and the annual consolidated budget and the monthly forecast   Senior Corporate Accountant will provide support for global cash management and development of global accounting policies and procedures.  This position will perform a variety of special tasks and projects as assigned.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and exercises discretion and independent judgment under minimum supervision. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Accountant:
  • Prepares the monthly consolidated financial reporting package for management and external reporting
  • Manages the global intercompany reconciliation and elimination process.
  • Prepares monthly entries and maintains general ledger and all supporting schedules for the Holding Company
  • Reconciles and resolves complex accounts for the Holding Company and other entities as needed
  • Assists in preparation the consolidated annual budget and monthly forecast.
  • Provides assistance in preparation of quarterly board of director presentation
  • Corporate cash management. Includes review of US weekly cash disbursement requirements and recording of Intercompany Cash transactions and reconciliation and reporting of corporate cash account.
  • Preparation of the consolidated weekly flash report.
  • Filing of corporate annual reports and maintaining schedule of reporting requirements
  • Assists with the preparation of US tax filings and annual transfer pricing study
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of global policies and procedures as they relate to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain corporate management fee model and provide support for data analysis of allocated expenses.
  • Assist with the other financial analysis as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with global finance and accounting peers and business operations.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong analytical skills and an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to perform duties in an organized and efficient manner in order to meet required deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
  • A dedicated and focused work ethic.
  • Ability to work well with others as a team member and be viewed as a team leader.
  • Ability to communicate diplomatically, confidentially, and effectively with others in person and in writing. 
  • Effectively gives and receives feedback.

Job Requirements

Experience required for the Senior Corporate Accountant:

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience, public accounting experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Advanced MS Office skills
