NEWLY CREATED POSITION DUE TO a Promotion. Growing Exploration and Production Oil and Gas Company located in Dallas is partnering with Robert Half to find a Financial Reporting/SEC Manager. The Financial Reporting Manager will report to the Controller. Financial Reporting manager will manage a team of 2 individuals and be responsible for oversight of SEC documents and in charge of filing all necessary documents to the SEC. This is a perfect role for someone looking to leave public accounting. The Financial Reporting manager will work directly with upper management and have the opportunity to promote into other roles down the line or stay in Financial reporting. Job Responsibilities: -Managing the External Financial Reporting team and SEC filings by reviewing and supporting documentation for quarterly press releases, annual report to shareholders, proxy statements, debt prospectus statements, and other documents filed with the SEC and/or other regulatory agencies -Maintaining the accounting department up to date with recent/upcoming accounting developments by providing periodic technical accounting updates -Responsible for preparing quarterly and annual financial statements and 1934 Act forms (10-Q and 10-K) for filing with the SEC. -There will be some corporate accounting functions assigned as needed -Ad Hoc analysis The ideal Financial Reporting Manager will come from a public accounting firm with SEC experience or industry experience as a Financial Reporting Manger.
