Engineer -Technical Product Trainer

Job Description

Seeking a technical instructor to develop and conduct instructor-led training for state-of-the-art military and commercial systems for the Department of Defense (DOD), and other government agencies, as well as foreign military customers. The individual must have experience as an instructor with a technical background who is proficient at classroom instruction, hands-on/field training, and course design/development.

Following Instructional System Design (ISD) or other related methodologies, tasks include course planning, training requirements analysis, material development, coordination, student management and course conduct. Our students are users and maintainers of highly technical Northrop Grumman products. Training materials may include detailed theory of operation, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting procedures. The candidate must be able to learn quickly, research data, interpret engineering drawings and documents, understand system operations, work independently and on a team, interface with the customer and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Most classes are taught in English but fluency in another language is a plus.

Attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word is a must. Knowledge and experience with integrating other technologies into training materials and course conduct is a plus.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications: Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 2 or more years.

Bachelor's Degree or higher with 2 or more years of relevant experience in product technical training.

Experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Candidates with no degree should have at least 8 years of relevant experience. All qualified candidates without a BS Degree must be vetted/approved through our PQRB process.



US Citizenship is required.



The candidate must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time, including travel to foreign countries.

A strong background in one or more of the following areas is needed: ground-based or airborne radars; related military experience; integration and test; electrical, networking; communications; or operations and maintenance of complex systems.

The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required.
Multiple positions are available. Candidate acceptance based on skill set match to open positions. Some positions will require a Secret security clearance to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a technical instructor, with CTT+ or equivalent military instructor certification desired. 

Secret clearance is preferred.
