Purchasing Coordinator

Our clients a national, high-volume home builder is seeking a Purchasing Admin/Coordinator to assist the Purchasing Department. Responsibilities include increasing vendor payment velocity, cost homes, establish budgets and control/reduce costs. Ideal candidate has strong administrative skills, 3-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payables, ability to work in a very fast paced,  customer oriented environment, high attention to detail and enjoys working in a team environment to achieve company goals.  Construction or home builder experience is a definite plus.  Advanced Excel a must, JD Edwards experiences a plus.



Key Responsibilities:

Track and verify vendor accounts payable for submitted invoices
Research PO discrepancies/execute changes as necessary (JD Edwards)
Input Work Order requests into accounting system (JD Edwards)
Execute Change Order Requests verifying for accuracy (JD Edwards)
Request and Input Pricing from Existing Vendors (JD Edwards)
New Vendor Setup in Accordance with corporate guidelines
Bid Package Creation/Solicitation
Insurance Compliance Administration
Assist in Supporting day to day function for field operations

Job Requirements

Preferred Credentials

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years’ work with a homebuilding operation or in a Purchasing capacity
Strong PC skills
JD Edwards experience
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
