We are seeking a highly motivated, relationship-oriented an experienced Branch Manager from the Columbus, OH area to join our award-winning and entrepreneurial team. Job Summary:

The Branch Manager’s responsibilities will include managing the day to day operations of the branch and its personnel which include a Sales Manager, MLO’s, Processors and Underwriters. In addition, the CrossCountry Mortgage Branch Manager will be responsible for marketing the branch in order to obtain new business relationships and referral sources. This is a sales management position that reports directly to CrossCountry Mortgage’s President & CEO and Director of Operations.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Manages the branch staff in all aspects of the loan origination process from origination to closing
  • Solicits new business through contacts with realtors, builders and customer referrals within the branch’s geographical area
  • Recruit retail loan originators for the sales team. Identify candidates well suited to represent CrossCountry Mortgage with potential to grow our market share. Develop and mentor staff to increase productivity
  • Establishes and controls branch budget and production and income goals within the company’s guidelines
  • Stays informed on trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as changing rules and regulations pertaining to both conventional and government-insured mortgages
  • Performs additional duties as required

Job Requirements

Retail Branch Manager

  • This position requires the individual to be a licensed MLO in the State of Ohio. Multiple state licenses are preferred
  • Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Individual as determined by S.A.F.E and State Governing bodies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 – 7 years of mortgage experience with verifiable earnings
  • 2 – 3 years of management experience with verifiable earnings
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed established sales goals
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with ability to interpret and analyze staff and customers’ needs on a continual basis
  • Proven track record of 2+ years of hiring, motivating, and/or managing a sales force in the mortgage industry; and/or demonstrated ability to hire, motivate and manage sales staff
  • Proven sales experience with the ability to meet production standards set for Branch production
  • History of ability to direct the work of mortgage loan officers. (Including; setting and monitoring of goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent business development skills
