Senior ANALYST – Hospital Supply Chain

Location: Irving, TX

This position reports to the Product Manager of Data Management Services. The Senior Analyst works closely with department management (all levels) providing expertise in analyzing data, managing projects and embracing constant change. They must be able to perform cross-functional duties that include all critical, hands-on activities involved in auditing, reviewing, problem resolution and reporting of data.

This position requires collaboration with subject matter experts, analysts and managers (internal & external) to resolve data and production issues and ensure quality of processes. This job demands the capability to meet rigorous deadlines, balance multiple priorities to achieve high levels of productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & maintain working relationships with members to align solutions to their processes and ensure delivery of account management and advisory services
  • Advise members on how to implement DMS tools & reports within their operations, and provide guidance in selecting alternatives for best practices and efficiencies
  • Responsible for implementation and roll out of our solution with new members
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership with strong attention to details
  • Research, QA and analyze output results that are based on members’ data and identify solutions to complex problems
  • Perform in-depth analysis and present identified opportunities/make recommendations for process improvement and issue resolution
  • Produce tables, charts, graphs and reports to present material to support findings/recommendations
  • Interpret trends in data and anticipate impact; Ability to see connection between cause and effect
  • Use technical and operational expertise to integrate data from diverse areas
  • Evaluate and test new or modified processes to verify that changes function according to requirements and meet desired results
  • Perform data mining/cleansing procedures to enhance accuracy of reporting
  • Provide monthly status reporting for goals achievement, and timely solutions to ad hoc requests
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, Master's degree a plus
  • Position requires 4-6 years related experience
  • 5+ years’ experience with demonstrated analytical skills within a hospital’s Data Management department or healthcare environment preferred
  • In-depth knowledge in Hospitals’ Charge Master File, Item Master File & Revenue Management preferred, exposure to Purchasing activities highly recommended
  • In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry with strong expertise in Hospitals’ Materials Management practices and understanding of Supply Chain operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge in Hospitals’ MMIS (Lawson, McKesson, PeopleSoft, MediTech...) preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio. MS Project & MicroStrategy a plus
  • Strong analytical, database and spreadsheet skills
  • Hands-on experience with Process Improvement

  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Must have high level of attention to detail, be flexible, and customer service oriented
  • Must be self-motivated with accountability and ownership of work
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skill to interact with clients  and teammates
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL a plus
