Brief Description:

In this role you will direct the activities and provide leadership to a Sales Business Team in achieving targeted objectives. You will coach team members in a way to ensure acceptable profitability for Schreiber Foods. In addition, you are responsible for a variety of scorecard business process measurements.

Detailed Description:

Duties of the role include:

  • Leading Team Members
    - In person and via phone
    - Joint sales calls
    - Development/Corrective Action
    - Team Meetings
  • Key Account Management
    - Promotional/Pricing/Accrual Management
    - Label development
    - Marketing strategy
    - Phone contact with customers/brokers
    - Category management (VMI, Forward Purchases, Nielsen, hedging)
  • Establish customer and market expertise
    - In person sales calls
    - Broker management
    - Develop new business with existing and new customers Travel
  • Presentation Preparation
  • Administrative Work

Job Requirements

We're looking for leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments. The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Dairy, Food Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales/Marketing/Management
  • Maintains knowledge of team’s customers, competitors and the marketplace
  • Ability to manage at least $120,000,000 in Gross Revenue
  • Ability to make judgments and coach team members on the financial impact of decisions quickly and accurately
  • Ability to direct team toward successful scorecard measurements
  • Strong financial understanding of budgets, accruals and all variables of costing
  • Ability to train team members on pricing, forecasting and managing profit

  • Working knowledge of Dairy Product properties

  • Thorough understanding of the SFI product line including properties and final use

  • Must have working knowledge and ability to educate team members of future markets and how to cross hedge

  • Understanding Risk Management and can communicate benefits to customer and educate team members

  • A thorough understanding of the systems/services and ability to train and educate team members on those systems/services that make up the Schreiber Advantage

  • Must be able to proficiently utilize Schreiber computer programs (Microsoft Office Package; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SIS models) to enhance performance and provide information within Schreiber and for customers

  • The ability to work with the team to determine and set goals

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Timely follow-up and response to Schreiber and our customers

  • Ability to provide feedback to team members, both positive and constructively when necessary

  • Demonstrates ability to lead groups

  • Expresses a desire to teach/coach others

  • Establishes developmental goals/objectives with others and utilizes opportunities to allow for growth

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other Schreiber teams to effectively meet customer requirements

  • Creative and flexible to change

  • Seeks out potential opportunities and develops methods/processes to accomplish these opportunities
  • Internal partners: Minimum of 2 years of experience in current role
