Reporting to the Manager of Language & Cultural Services for KentuckyOne Health, the Language Services Supervisor provides direct supervision of Language Services staff and resources, including outside language service providers, at their prospective facility/facilities. Responsible for the efficient coordination and deployment of interpreters and other resources, including the facilitation of document translations, to effectively provide appropriate and qualified language services to patients who are Limited English Proficience, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, as well as those who have other sensory needs. Provides interpretation services as necessary at their facility/facilities. Under the direction of the Manager, ensures staff adheres to all KentuckyOne policies and procedures relating to Language & Cultural Services, through education and ongoing assessment, including collection and interpretation of data, as an essential component of culturally competent care. Effectively manages an assigned budget, including expenditure control. Assists with projects as assigned. Collaborates with Manager and Language Services Supervisors at other KentuckyOne facilities in the development of best practices for Language & Cultural Services. Provides on-call support to resolve issues or problems.
