TrinityRail is searching for a Car Repair Billing Expert to work with our Fleet Data Management team at the corporate office in Dallas, Texas.  The successful candidate should posess the following qulaities:

  • In-depth knowledge of various types of railcars and their performance.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, maintenance, industry codes, AAR Rules, car repair billing, AAR price matrices, standards and regulations applicable to railcars.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations to redefine support and direction within system parameters and recalibrate audit tools.
  • Able to work with a team and maintain effective working relationships with customers, railroads, repair facilities and company personnel.
  • Must be self-directed and able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Perform quality assurance over third party repair audit services provided to Trinity.
  • Report audit cost savings and other audit effectiveness measures to upper management.
  • Conduct in-house trainings to provide TrinityRail employees with knowledge for efficient use of the repair audit system.
  • Assist the Wreck Manager in reviewing and preparation of responses/rebuttals to requests for counterbilling authority, and exceptions relating to damaged car repair invoices and develop a process to build an audit system integrating some of the more common exceptions being identified.
  • Assist other employees with CBA/Billing questions and issues.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering or Finance preferred
  • Railcar experience required
  • Effective communications skills – both verbal and written
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with all other Microsoft products
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence software desired
