Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator, the ORT assists the surgeon and the nurse in delivering care to the patient undergoing surgery.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least one year of recent experience as an ORT I (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate of an ORT I (or equivalent) training program (minimum one semester). Must have American Heart Association BLS certification. Preferred element: Certification as ORT/Surgical Technologist
