Sourcing Executive - Physician Preference
Location: Irving, TX
This opportunity will report to the Director of Sourcing, PPM. The incumbent will manage specific project initiatives in an effort to drive down supply costs within the physician preference space; will conduct presentations to executive leadership and physicians relative to strategically aligning all stakeholders in order to effectively drive negotiations with suppliers; and will routinely monitor supplier compliance to contract terms and conditions.
•This position is responsible for developing and managing strategic physician preference initiatives to drive down supply chain costs for member hospitals.
• identifying market trends within the physician preference space;
•Conducting product and market assessments and market research;
•Complying with all requirements of the competitive bid process;
•Negotiating and managing contract terms and conditions;
•Obtaining representative member input from councils and/or task forces;
•Delivering unique value to support individual members, supply networks, academic medical centers as well as customers and clients in non-health care markets;
•Developing business and marketing plans;
•implementing new programmatic offerings while maintaining practical knowledge of the healthcare industry, market dynamics and new technology.
•effectively communicating with all stakeholders;
•managing relationships with members, suppliers, and alliances to ensure satisfaction through timely communication and problem resolution;
•Bachelors or Masters degree is strongly preferred.
•Five to seven years of healthcare experience in marketing, sales or clinical experience in the same field is required.
•Product management, contract management or procurement experience within the PPM area or hospital environment is preferred.
•Demonstrated expertise in the competitive bidding, launch and management of high profile agreements with documented revenue results.
•Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Power Point, Excel and Access).
•Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
•Flexible, action-oriented team player.
•Up to 35% travel is required.
