Job Description


The Leader of Enterprise Application Integration Services will provide leadership, direction and management of the overall integration architecture, delivery and implementation of Application Integration Services through tight coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure the acquired and internally developed applications and processes meet, or exceed, the integration requirements of company and the healthcare regulations.  He/ She would also be managing a mixed team of Integration team (employees, consultants and service delivery partners) for the delivery of the Enterprise Integration Services roadmap.


  • Build and establish short and long term integration platform capabilities across heterogeneous applications.

  • Provide key technology leadership and take accountability for the execution of Enterprise Integration Service roadmap.

  • Ability to lead team and work with Business group, Enterprise Architecture team and other technology groups within the organization in managing the overall directions and implementation of Enterprise Application Integration Services.

  • Lead team in the integration architecture, design and implementation of ISS Application Services, Platform Technology Services and Infrastructure Services.

  • Partner with appropriate business stakeholders in developing technology solution approaches, evaluating products, and assessing ROI (Return on Investment) on key initiatives.

  • This individual will also establish individual performance goals, review performance against goals and provide coaching for Associate development. Plan and recommend compensation plans, development plans and promotions, as appropriate.

  • Drive competency building efforts on application development & support.

  • Provide architectural oversight and technical expertise to the enterprise Programs.

  • Direct efforts and provide direction towards metrics-based delivery outcomes, and continuous process improvements in application development & support life cycle.

  • Contribute to IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery standards, purchasing and service provision based on needs or revenue cycle and accounts receivable applications.

Job Requirements


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in application integration space with at least 6 years in a development team lead role and 3+ years managing people.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with ESB implementation environment handling application, data, Platform and infrastructure integration services.

  • Experience with designing, developing, and implementing complex integration for end-to-end solutions at a middle ware level.

  • Ability to review functional requirements and determine the type of integration work that is needed based on the business needs.

  • Ability to lead proof-of-concepts with a matrix team for validating new technology or approach.

  • Experience implementing solutions using a SOA approach including defining service security, use of service registry and governance processes.

  • Strong knowledge of service oriented architecture (SOA), Web services, and transfer protocols (http, ftp, etc.).

  • Enterprise Integration Patterns and trade-offs.

  • Experience in SOA based integration, API Integration, B2B & B2C Integration model.

  • Object Oriented programming experience.

  • Formal project methodology and Software development framework (SDLC, Agile).

  • Demonstrated ability to apply ITIL process to system implementation and support approaches.

  • Build management, release management and version control.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organization, planning and project management skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking - ability to diagnose and resolve ambiguous problems.

  • Ability to create, manage and enhance customer and vendor relationships.

  • Strong leadership, presentation, interpersonal and relationship-building-skills, with the ability to manage up, down and across levels of the organization.

  • Proven success managing resources/strategic partners for shared development and support. This includes contract management and the mechanics of ramping up and down vendor relationships.

  • Dedication to continuous improvement and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.

  • Deep practical knowledge of healthcare integration platforms, frameworks, and standards (i.e. HL7, X12, HIPAA, DICOM) is strongly preferred.

  • Microsoft BizTalk or WebSphere or Webmethods or TIBCO Business Works, implementation experience is strongly preferred.
