Lehigh Valley International company is seeking to add a senior Tax Accountant to support its growing and successful businesses in North America. The successful Senior Tax Accountant candidate will provide a full and comprehensive range of taxation and treasury support services as detailed below to my client. In addition, the Senior tax Accountant will work very closely with the group tax and treasury department with respect to the implementation and management of tax planning, treasury and other initiatives. While the successful candidate will primarily report to and work with the group tax and treasury manager, the candidate will be expected to forge strong working relationships with senior management at all of the US locations to assist these locations in managing day to day tax compliance, to meet their treasury management needs and generally to provide advice to management with respect to a broad range of financial, business structures, etc. issues. The Senior Tax Accountant will also have an opportunity to gain international experience through supporting sister businesses located outside the US such as in emerging markets and Canada. The primary responsibilities include: - Tax Compliance: preparation of federal and state tax returns and supporting computations for US companies. - Managing the payment of federal and state tax liabilities. - Tax Registrations: support the businesses with registrations to do business in individual states, employment, sales and use taxes, etc. - Tax accounting: preparation of current tax and deferred computations for year-end provisioning purposes. Liaising with the group finance team and external auditors on all tax related audit and accounting matters. - Ad hoc tax queries: deal with tax related queries from the US businesses and where necessary liaising with advisors, etc. to resolve these issues. - Corporate development/projects: Assist the group tax and treasury manager in completion of due diligence assignments, business restructurings, etc. and generally support the corporate development and senior finance team on US tax matters. - Tax planning initiatives: support the group tax department in initiating and managing tax planning initiatives including transfer pricing projects, debt funding, etc. - Treasury cash management: responsibility for day to day cash management operations for US subsidiary companies. - Banking relationship management: with group treasury, forge and proactively manage strong working relationships with the group's US banking partners. - General: the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and take on duties and responsibilities outside the tax and treasury remit including assisting with ad hoc projects, etc. If interested in this or similar positions, please send a Word version of your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resum├ę].

Job Requirements

The role is likely to be attractive to an accountant with a public practice background and who has gained at least two years post qualification experience working in industry in a similar role. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, demonstrate a willingness to develop and apply new skills and, in addition, strong communication skills are a requirement for this role.
