 This position is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of monthly payment reserves.  Oversees the preparation of Kentucky One Health governmental cost reports.  Monitors governmental reimbursement changes that would change current reimbursement.  Models changes in reimbursement from various payers to determine adjustments needed.    The Director oversees the fulfillment of data requests and analysis, including reports, narrative summaries, charts, graphs, business plans, and project evaluations related to accounting guidelines.  The director co-leads the monthly close process.   May assist other finance and operational leaders with the  development of operating budgets, long range financial plans, and capital business plans.  The position will assist with the development of finance policies and evaluation of internal controls. This position is visible at all levels of the organization and actively participates in system-wide operational, performance improvement, and growth committees and initiatives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Should have a high degree of information technology competency and be highly competent with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office applications. Highly knowledgeable of Governmental Reimbursement Guidelines. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required with CPA or MBA preferred. Previous Related Experience Required: Seven years of reimbursement experience, and three years of managerial experience. Special Skills or Atrributes Required: Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the Associate Handbook and all hospital policies. Must also be able to walk, stand extensively, bend, stoop, squat, visually discriminate close objects,hear and distinguish normal sounds. The following traits are important for the Director - Reimbursement: a) have the ability to grasp new concepts quickly; b) have a working knowledge of various hospital systems; c) be able to project a positive attitude; d) be able to lead a team of analysts using independent judgment and problem-solving skills; e) be well organized with the ability to prioritize numerous projects; f) possess strong technical skills; g) be results oriented; h) possess good communication skills; I) be detail oriented.
