Job Description

As one of the nation's fastest growing Christian foster care ministries, The Bair Foundation is currently seeking a Therapist/ Lead Staff in Albuquerque, NM.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Provides individual, family and/or group psychotherapy to clients as described in the treatment plan.

2. Maintains documentation of all therapeutic contact in the client's record. Must ensure clients are authorized monthly by completing concurrent paperwork.

3. Keeps therapy notes current to be included in the child's record within one week of the therapy session.

4. Completes comprehensive assessment of clients at intake, annually, and when updates are available.

5. Participates in the treatment planning process.

6. Consults with the supervisor a minimum of twice each month.

7. Employee must participate in knowledge/skill based pre-service training relevant to the services provided.

8. Must attend annual, ongoing professional development/training relevant to the agency's treatment foster care model and to job responsibilities.

9. Must provide on-going training to foster families and potential foster families.

10. Required to back-up on-call through a rotation.

11. Must be certified in SITFC?.

12. Must be certified in the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment (CANS).

13. Become SAFE certified as requested by supervisor. As requested, may complete SAFE home studies and updates, including yearly re-assessments of foster parent licenses.

14. Provide support and supervision of clients on as needed basis.

15. Complete pre-screening assessments to determine placement.

16. Oversees completion of timely paperwork and training requirements.

17. Advises, consults and assists families in absence of staff.

18. Provides back-up for administrative duties when necessary and when assigned by direct supervisor

Master's Degree in social work or a related field with a minimum of three years experience in clinical practice with at risk youth. Must be licensed in New Mexico with a LMFT, LISW,LMSW, LPCC, LPAT or LMHC.
