Senior Civil Engineer: Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in performing calculations and designs. Performs assignments, which have clear and specific technical objectives and having some degree of complexity. Understands roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other disciplines. Participates in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors. Prepares design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates. Manages budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight. Prepares Civil procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate and condition technical bids. Devises new approaches to technical problems. Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry. Able to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams. Willing to travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up. Engineering Professional: B.S. in Civil engineering from an accredited university. Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and nuclear power system design pertinent to Civil engineering. PE License would be desired but is not required.
Design Experience: Prior experience in power systems, preferably at nuclear power plants. Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of calculations. Requires a broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards pertaining to the nuclear power industry. Minimum 10 years experience.
Automation Skills: Proficient in Word and Excel.
Communication Skills: Good writing, presentation, and communication Skills.
