Job Description

The IT Director is a senior level IT professional responsible for the information technology strategy, delivery, and operations for the Latin America region. He or she will operate as the “IT Business Liaison' for Latin America. This includes IT organizational development, application delivery and maintenance, vendor relationships, networking, infrastructure, hardware/software licensing, and user-level equipment (mobile phones, desktops, laptops, email). He or she will be engaged throughout the IT delivery lifecycle and will apply strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to ensure successful business requirement gathering, documentation, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of IT solutions.  As a hands-on leader, the IT Director will build and develop a collaborative, agile, and innovative group that leverages technology, expects and encourages change, is capable of supporting the company’s Latin America growth plans, and promotes teamwork and development
Newly created position for company expansion. Must have Spanish as a second language! 

Located in Charlotte, NC, this position will head start up IT operations for an expanding business, and work closely with the marketing and sales groups. 

You should have prior experience in IT Management and preferably in growing a business through International distribution channels. 

Experience with Latin America countries and cultures is very helpful. 

Both Application and Infrastructure background is preferred, but if your experience is more on the applications side, that will work. 

Excellent base, bonus and benefits. Must have the ability to travel internationally occasionally. 

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILIITIES REQUIRED
•    Ability to recruit, develop, and retain IT talent to build a high-performing team
•    Experience managing internal and external partnerships with technology teams and vendors
•    Demonstrated success in implementing technology solutions and leading aspects of technology direction, development, and execution in a fast-paced environment
•    Excellent bilingual (English and Spanish with Portuguese a plus) communication skills, both oral and written
•    Strong partnering skills and ability to lead/guide small teams
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
•    Ability to pay close attention to details 
•    Well-versed in SDLC and agile software development methodologies as applicable for business analysis, development, and testing activities
•    Experience with user interface and design, storyboarding, process/systems flow diagramming 
•    Proficiency with desktop applications such as Outlook/Exchange email, Microsoft Office applications, database (SQL) query tools, etc.
