Job Description

This position will be based in SF and plays a pivotal role in setting the vision, developing the strategy, and laying the foundation for our product offerings, in partnership with the product teams. This role interfaces with stakeholders both internally and externally. Internally, key partners and stakeholders include the Offering team leads, Marketing peers, and the functional leaders across the division. . Externally, the VP of Product Marketing will work with customers, prospects and influencers to publicly represent Citrix and our product positioning.

 This includes responsibility for market and competitive analysis, developing deep customer knowledge, and formulating Citrix product positioning in the market.  As a recognized resident expert on our services, the market and our customers, this role will translate the strategy into competitive differentiation and definition. Also responsible for delivering new pricing and packaging strategies to expand the company’s reach within our existing and new customer segments.  With regard to category leadership, this role will determine and lead where we should establish and drive the team to achieve our revenue and market share goals.

  • Responsible for strategic market analyses, long-range vision, business plans and product positioning to drive Citrix business value

  • Leads the team responsible for knowing our customers and sharing this knowledge across the company

  • Drives our price/packaging implementation such that it is a strategic weapon for each of our product lines

  • Partners with offering teams to develop the marketing strategy and plans for all products in the SaaS division

  • Participates as a core member of marketing leadership, partnering with peers for Customer Acquisition, Web Marketing and Analytics to deliver on the revenue plan and core SaaS division goals

  • Drives vision and strategy for the creation and execution of launch plans by the integrated marketing managers; drives the direction across the go-to-market teams

  • Defines strategy and vision for team that develops buyer personas, product positioning and price/packaging

  • Analyzes key metrics to ensure our product set is optimized for different customer segments

  • Assumes primary leadership for the development and management of competitive analyses and related documents  for our go-to-market teams

  • Provides input to product roadmaps that strongly position the company and its products in the marketplace

  • Acts as a Citrix evangelist with customers, prospects and influencers through presentations at conferences, events, and seminars

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, economics or a related field); MBA preferred; or equivalent experience

  • 15+ years in product management or product marketing. 10 years of this work experience should be in senior management leadership roles with proven track record of success leading teams, both directly and cross-functionally

  • Track record of innovation and success positioning products in the market

  • SMB software or SaaS experience required

  • Consumer Package Goods (CPG) experience desired

  • Experience leading a team in product planning and launching successful software products to market
