Job Description


Item Master Data Management (IMDM) is responsible for the building and maintenance of Master Data. Master Data is an inventory database that contains all item information used by all local WIN and Noland companies. The IMDM Database currently contains over 3.2 million product numbers and each item has up to 50 attribute fields including marketing content, logistical content and current list prices. IMDM provides accurate data to the Win group of companies in a timely manner.

Principal Duties:

Item File Synchronization: IMDM Data Strategist will analyze item files as compared to outside source data, identify a matching value to the outside source and use IMDM system tools for attribute fulfillment and line fulfillment.

Rich Data Collection: IMDM Data Strategist will analyze and assist with rich data collection to provide Local companies with relevant data regarding products within our catalog.

Master Data File Cleaning: IMDM Data Strategist will analyze item files and identify and eliminate duplicate item numbers, add/update/maintain UPC codes, and organize display order. In addition they will evaluate, research, and interpret data as used by WinWholesale Local companies.

Special Projects: Participate in projects and complete additional duties as assigned by manager.

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business-related major preferred, although relevant experience may be considered.

Experience: Employee must have experience working within a group setting, the ability to utilize the Internet and  analyze/obtain data from websites, ability to learn and adapt quickly to internal systems, and experience within an inventory management system is beneficial. Experience within wholesaling industries such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC are a plus.

Professional Skills: Strong analytical, typing, verbal and written communication and MS Office skills are necessary.


Other Requirements: Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.


Physical Skills: Able to sit and type on a computer keyboard. Position requires extensive phone and face-to-face communication. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
