The Creative Group, Philadelphia, is currently seeking AMA proofreaders and copyeditors. Ideal candidates MUST be local and able to work in the Philadelphia area. MUST have prior experience with AMA style. Responsibilities: -Proofread and editing copy for spelling or grammatical errors and factual inaccuracies. In some cases, rewriting materials may be required -Work closely with account management team and authors on content revisions -Fact check and annotate material -Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, demonstrated commitment to completing assignments on a timely basis, ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure. Requirements: -MUST HAVE AMA style -Knowledge of proofreading symbols and terminology -Expert knowledge of technology and software, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint -3-5+ years Job-related advertising agency experience, or equivalent is preferred ** Initial Interview with the Creative Group is required!
