Supports knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable the company to meet the changing needs of the global and industrial manufacturing landscape. The Principal is a recognized expert in IT within the organization and is utilized to provide a broad spectrum of company operations and functional knowledge to the most complex situations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Hypothesizes, creates, reviews, analyzes, and evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities to develop new technologies, products, and business models company-wide. • Acts as the IT lead partner to business and IS/IT partners in order to address industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology. • Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of business architecture to effectively support business strategy. Apply and utilize business modeling methods to ensure results oriented deliverables in a way that can be recreated and used as a corporate knowledge resource available to project-level initiatives and executive decision making. • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the development of technology solutions, business architecture framework development, tool suite selection, and design and methodology development. • Creates business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations, and systems interoperate within the organization. • Conducts analysis to determine best paths for identifying business opportunities that include facilitating breaking new technologies into the organization as well as process improvement, systems enhancement, user training, and/or software procurement. • Ensure that solutions developed within the organization are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principals, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits). • Lead senior management through the development of a business architecture plan for the line of business. Evaluate and present information that will facilitate effective and timely decision-making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations. POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • MBA desired. • Experience with large-scale organizational projects • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management • Familiarity with the business motivation model framework • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels in an organization • Strong leadership and organizational skills • Sound judgment and decision-making • Excellent analytical and logical problem-solving skills • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a keen attention to detail • Proven time management and project prioritization skills • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development • Familiarity with project management approaches and tools • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizan, or other process optimization methodologies • Must have experience coordinating business users, technical staff, and architects to help analyze and define future needs and operations based upon use case and architectural analysis of alternatives • In-depth knowledge of business process design and re-engineering • Experience in leading and conducting requirements gathering sessions • Ability to apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues and products as required. • Strong customer service orientation • Familiarity with Emerson Network Power business processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Technology. Associates degree or military certification with two years directly related experience, or of 5 years directly related experience will be held equivalent to educational requirement. • At least 10 years Business Process or IS/IT experience or other related experience • At least 5 years of project management experience in IT progressively working to larger multi-faceted complex projects impacting the company. • Experience working with Oracle E-Business Application. EBS experience in areas such as a plus Supply Chain, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Project Accounting)
Finishing projects within completed deadlines, quality and efficiency of product and project output. Provides reports and gathers intelligence as to business needs and interfaces with IT and Manager as to strategic needs of business function in a regular periodic basis. Provides updates to business function as to technologies available and function to address needs/efficiencies and quality improvements. Maintains and updates system and process mapping for business functions/processes.
