Compensation: $81,818.99 to $100,000.00 per year

Robert Half Finance and Accounting has teamed up with a private investment company in North Dallas to assist in the recruitment for multiple General Accounting Manager roles. The role will be responsible for reporting the operations of complex, multi-tiered investment funds as well financial reporting for the management company. To be considered for this role, candidates must be a CPA, have exposure to the private equity industry and (ideally) have worked for one of the Big 4 CPA firms. Pay range is 80-100K (base) plus over 20 days vacation for the first year of employment (all benefits paid for the employee). Job Duties: This position has the overall responsibility for the accounting and reporting of financial information on specific investments in foreign and investments and operating companies. The Manager provides overall financial reporting guidance to the group as needed. The ability to interpret legal documentation and other source documents with a US GAAP application is critical. Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounting and internal reporting on specific investments Review of financials, including footnotes, for accuracy and completeness Meeting all internal and external reporting deadlines, including audit, tax, and third parties Supervision of Assistant Managers, Seniors and/or Staff to ensure quality and productivity within the department Management of technical research and application of US GAAP measures to accounting issues Assist in resolution of complex accounting issues occurring in the investments Automation and documentation of processes as needed within the department Professionally interacting with Management and other Departments in response to questions and requests for information in both the US and foreign offices Professional staff development, including performance management and training Interpret legal documents and monitor cap charts Coordinate reconciliation and resolution of intercompany and suspense balances Maintain on a monthly basis all equity related accounts and schedules Partner preferences, waterfalls, allocations of income, and statement of partners capital Provide executive summary reports to senior management and other departments Assist the asset managers with the sale and acquisition of assets during the due diligence period Perform any additional responsibilities that may be required by management in support of the ongoing development of the department Required Qualifications: Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Graduate Degree preferred 6-8+ years professional work experience, prefer Big 4 public accounting combined with partnership accounting, investment company accounting. Financial Statement preparation, including consolidations and footnotes Management reporting functions Preparation of schedules for external auditors and internal tax schedules Management experience in a complex and challenging environment with a proven track record of leadership and employee development Demonstrated ability to resolve complex accounting issues occurring within the investments, timely and accurately Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines in a dynamic and complex environment Demonstrated ability to build business relationships with other business areas Please email a soft copy of your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] or you can call Chris Willhite at 972-789-9590.
