Job Description

TCF Bank currently has an opening for an Financial Systems Administrator/Analyst at our Wayzata location.
 
The  Financial Systems Administrator/Analyst will be responsible for the systems administration and data integrity of key finance systems relied upon by the TCF Branch Banking/Bank Services team and its customers.  The position will play a key role in continued enhancements and implementation of new tools, databases, and applications for the team.  The position involves heavy interaction with finance system users, Information Technology, and external software vendors.  
 
Specific job duties of this position:
  • Designs, develops and tests finance system changes and enhancements.
  • Implements new finance system tools, databases, and applications, including documentation of system requirements, design and development, testing, reporting, and delivery to end users.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of finance systems, field definitions, process flows, and procedures.
  • Develops, documents, and delivers end-user training on supported finance applications.
  • Acts as a primary administrator for user administration, security access, and month end processing of key financial reporting systems.
  • Researches and resolves data inconsistencies, system errors, and end users questions.
  • Creates and delivers recurring and ad hoc data sets/databases for internal and external customers.
  • Assists with report design, development, automation and enhancement for the Branch Banking/Bank Services Finance team.
  • Serves as liaison with Information Technology, other internal TCF departments and external software vendors.

Job Requirements

 
Candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of previous related work experience and strong systems knowledge, extensive experience with database applications, and exposure to application design/development and system administration is required. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required.  Candidates with the required experience and an advanced degree or professional Certification (CPA, CFA, CFM, etc.) would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with the financial services industry would be considered a plus.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with the following skills:
    • Strong problem solving ability
    • Strong organization skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Flexible and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Strong end-user computer skills, including Microsoft Access and Excel
    • Experience with any of the following:  Essbase, Hyperion, Cognos, Tableau, Access, SAS SQL or other programming skills or GIS applications.
  • Additional Preferred Skills:
    • Very good leadership and project management experience
    • Very good ability to read and interpret technical research and reports and apply information to specific business situations
