Job Description

Quad Direct Marketing, a division of Quad/Graphics, is looking for extraordinary, creative, energetic and ambitious candidates to join our sales team in the Midwest. The position has the ability to be remote/work from home.

Quad Direct Marketing offers our customers marketing, creative and integrated digital media solutions, workflow tools, state of the art multi-location sheet-fed, web and digital platforms, comprehensive lettershop, data services and the most advanced and largest scale logistics system in the industry. As a Direct Marketing sales representative you will be able to access extensive resources provided by Quad and sales specific training to assist in winning new business. With these resources and additional training you’ll develop effective sales strategies that demonstrate how our robust marketing and multichannel services, direct mail production platforms and best in class logistics solutions, by means of our comingling centers, translates to distinct value for our clients.


  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Effectively manage the sales process from account research, qualification and engagement through close and account management thereafter
  • Apply industry, business, marketing and case study knowledge to provide insightful solutions that clearly demonstrate Quad Direct Marketing’s value proposition and distinct competitive advantage to clients.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop persuasive solutions that convert to sale.

Required Skills

  • Driven and self directed.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets through new business development and up-selling of current or existing Quad/Graphics customers.
  • Passionate about learning, sales, new business development and skilled at effective cold calling and prospective account engagement.
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Ability to identify high-level customer objectives and convert to differentiated solutions that address a marketer’s unique business needs.
  • Ability to develop compelling presentations and proposals that clearly demonstrate Quad Direct Marketing’s distinct advantages in meeting client requirements and business objectives.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively throughout client organizations from the c-suite to production environments.
  • Proven experience selling in a team environment across multiple product and service platforms.
  • Ability to evaluate competitor strategies and position for advantage and excellent negotiating skills.
  • Experience selling into Retail, Insurance, High Compliance (Healthcare and Financial), Telecom, Consumer Product Goods and Diverse Agency segments is preferred
  • Strong PC and/or Mac skills (MS Office applications) and comfortable utilizing CRM and sales reporting tools.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 40% is required.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years recent outside sales experience within a direct mail marketing field
  • Demonstrated success in developing and closing business
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience in selling integrated marketing across print and digital media a plus
  • Candidates must have experience working with a range of client business verticals and small to large complex client organizations.
  • Candidates must conduct themselves with the highest business ethics.
