Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of progressive experience as a law enforcement officer
  • Valid Texas Class C Drivers’ License and must be insurable
  • Current Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE/TCOLE) and be in good standing with licensing and commissioning agency



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred but not required



Requirements / Skills:

  • Ability to make independent decisions with tactful, mature and positive attitude
  • Demonstrate initiative in assuming responsibilities
  • Be cooperative, discreet and courteous in handling visitors and employees within the scope of assigned authority
  • May be subject to further written and/or oral pre-employment testing and evaluations (including Polygraph, Psych Assessment, Health Screen / Drug Test and  Impulse Assessment)



Schedule / Hours:

  • Full Time / 40 hours per week
  • Variable Shifts



Duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Works with hospital Security staff to secure hospital grounds and property
  • Provides security and assistance for hospital patients, staff and visitors
  • Promotes future growth of Texas Health Dallas’s Security Program
