As a Software Engineer Lead and a member of PNC's Information Technology group, you will be part of a diversified financial services firm that reflects the needs, values and goals of our customers, employees, communities and shareholders. You will be instrumental in helping to maintain PNC's reputation for technology excellence in both business applications and new innovations. Your area is responsible for engineering enterprise security solutions specific to authentication and authorization of employees and customers. You will also assess and determine design considerations, assist projects in integrating with these solutions, and provide general security consulting. You may be seated in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH.
Through integrity, teamwork and customer focus, you will help reinforce our product-specific goals and concepts to drive value to each LOB. Because PNC not only acquires great talent but also develops them organically, you will guide less experienced senior engineers. Your manager will help augment your skills as you enhance systems, and perform operational and technical support on medium and complex system functions for our LOB service partners.
This position will be responsible for integration and delivery of enterprise security capabilities. This includes but is not limited to user authentication and authorization, user provisioning, single sign-on, and LDAP. May be required to assist as third tier resource in the event of a break-fix situation.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an IT-related field
- 7-10 years IT experience.
¢ Proficiency in multiple versions and variations of Unix, Linux and Windows based operating systems
¢ Proficiency in various application coding tools and architectures including (but not limited to):
* Sun Java, J2EE, JSP
* Microsoft VB/ASP/.NET
* Cold Fusion
* Messaging (example: SOAP, JMS)
¢ Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking
¢ Solid troubleshooting skills
¢ In depth knowledge of various authentication mechanisms
¢ In depth knowledge of various encryption techniques
¢ In depth knowledge of various techniques to secure applications
¢ Solid interpersonal skills allowing for the ability to translate customer requirements into technical and vice versa
¢ Expertise in Java development and security, LDAP and other security and identity products.
¢ 5+ years experience with a focus on Internet Security highly preferred.
