Regional Sales Engineer, Central U.S. - Siemon Interconnect Solutions

Job Description

This position is responsible for the achievement of the Company’s strategic sales objectives within the assigned territory through well organized planning, effective time management and utilization of Company programs and resources.
 
This position works out of a home office. It is a non-management position.

Job Requirements

2-Year DegreeRequired Skills:Minimum Qualifications:

•Strong applications knowledge of copper and fiber Ethernet cabling and connectivity in various vertical markets including but not limited to: Data Center, Industrial, Wireless, Media, Automotive

•Demonstrated ability to work directly with and provide value-add applications expertise to OEM's and System Integrators of Ethernet devices and solutions

•Demonstrated ability to develop business plans, establish priorities and organize activities.

•Experience in the OEM connector industry with an understanding of design and manufacturing processes. Experience identifying product solutions to meet the needs of OEM customers.

•Ability to travel up to 50%; ability to work outside of normal business hours.

•Experience giving presentations and/or speaking in front of groups of varying size.

•Intermediate user ofWord, Excel and Powerpoint.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated sound judgement and decision making ability

•Demonstrated ability to develop business plans, establish priorities and organize activities

•Demonstrated ability to prospect and penetrate new customers and sustain growth with existing customers

•Has a practical understanding of the new product development process and relevant manufacturing processes.

•Knowledge of relevant industry standards.

•Ability to understand customer needs and work with internal Siemon resources to develop innovative solutions that utilize Siemon core capabilities

•Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with the customers’ product development engineering, product management, and procurement groups.

•Ability to travel up to 50%; ability to work outside of normal business hours.

•Effective at delivering presentations to groups of varying size

•Intermediate user of Word, Excel and Powerpoint

•Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated sound judgement and decision making ability

•Holds a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Five years of demonstrated success in selling OEM
