Position Description

Einstein Healthcare Network is a private, not for profit organization with several major facilities and many outpatient centers. In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting with electroencephalographs (EEG), an instrument that measures and records the electric activity of the brain, and related patient care
  • Prepares patients, performs procedures and collects information pertinent to interpretation
  • The procedures include but are not limited to: measure and apply electrodes according to the 10-20 system, utilizing Carefusion and Natus technology, prepare patients for routine amd long term studies
  • This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) neonate through frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served

  • Post high school clinical neurophysiology education/training required
  • Completion of accredited EEG training program required
  • ABRET registry eligibility required

Physical Demands:
  • Physical Requirements: Equal amounts of sitting, standing and walking. Occasionally must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Frequently must be able to push/pull patients. Constantly must be able to push/pull equipment. There will be occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, climbing and turning. Manual dexterity and close visual attention are required.
  • Visual Requirements: Color vision is required for medical record coding. Depth perception is required for walking and climbing. There is occasional exposure to VDTs
  • Hearing Requirements: Must be able to hear normal and low voice volumes with frequent telephone communications.
  • Working Conditions: This is a diagnostic laboratory setting. Travel to additional satellite settings will be required on an occasional basis.
