Job Description

The Operations Program Manager (OPM) position supports the Restricted Space Systems Business area and is responsible for managing and maintaining the day to day interfaces and communications between the assigned program management office (PMO), manufacturing, test, and engineering.
This position requires the individual to conduct him/herself as a Leader or member of a product team, responsible for product-level requirements analysis, design, engineering and manufacturing of the products assigned.  The OPM will be responsible for achieving targeted cost and schedule requirements. The OPM will facilitate internal meetings in a way to support designs, production, and problem resolutions. The OPM will represent manufacturing at the program Risk Review Board (RRB) meetings and create / manage any applicable manufacturing risks and/or opportunities from the program risk register.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

The qualified candidate must have a BS degree in a related field with a minimum experience of 5 years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. The candidate must have experience in leadership and project management.
Strong knowledge of, and experience in resource planning, inventory and production material management, and risk management. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret government clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.
The candidate must possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written; interpersonal skills are a must along with a good problem solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing, test, or operations environment. Fluent and experienced with the following:

1) SAP production management tools

2) Earned Value Management Systems


4) MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Project.
