Job Description

Headquartered in Wilmington, Del., Barclaycard US creates customized, co-branded credit card programs for some of the country's most successful travel, entertainment, retail, affinity and financial institutions. The business employs 1,300 associates.

Drive the growth and development of Barclaycard US by leading the delivery of annual program of major change (~$120M in 2014) that is faster, at a higher quality and in a way that demonstrates:


•         Strong alignment with, BCUS strategic goals, priorities and operational imperatives  

•         Clear, regular and transparent communication with all relevant stakeholders

•         Exemplary program and project management disciplines

•         Collaborative leadership style that develops and maintains PCD High Performing Team

Job Requirements

1.       Portfolio Management (30%)
 -Responsible for overall leadership for a portfolio of strategic projects across multiple business disciplines from inception to delivery (~$25M investment annually)
 -Support project managers identify issues, risks, manage RAG status and remediation
 -Work closely with multiple delivery teams (e.g. Technology) and business areas and functions (e.g. Risk, Legal, Compliance) to ensure high quality delivery that is in control.

2.       Team Leadership (25%)
 -Lead the team (15-20 FTE) in a way consistent with Barclays Values and that balances company goals with colleague development
 -As part of  PCD Leadership Team actively champion PCD goals and agenda and lead cross-PCD initiatives that reinforce the behaviours of High Performing Team
 -Identify, recruit, support and reward high performance
 
3.       Senior Stakeholder Relationship Management (25%)
 -Communicate key progress and facilitate decision-making through relationships of trust with individual ExCo/SLT members
 -Develop strong relationships with peers across all BCUS (business and functional) to facilitate collaborative problem-solving
 -Present to groups of colleagues, internal and external Executives

4.       Strategic Planning and Prioritization (20%)
 -Lead the development of annual Strategic Investment planning process for given business area
 -Provide proactive guidance and support to the business in progressing program approvals and reporting via Barclays governance channels
