Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cardiovascular Technologist scrubs in and assists the physician in the interventional lab.  The CV Technologist circulates within the procedure room and procures all equipment needed for procedures.  The CV Technologist maintains a high degree of accuracy and awareness of all radiation and patient safety issues involved with any invasive procedure.   The CV Technologist will position patients, select exposure parameters, contrasts injectors according to protocols specific to both patient and examination.  The CV Technologist demonstrates a thorough understanding and working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, interventional supplies, and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
  • Prefer two (2) years recent experience as a General Radiographer

  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) is required
  • KY Radiation Operators certification
  • Current CPR (BLS)
  • Requires CVIT registry within two (2) years of employment
